CONSULTATION
Whilst we can give quotes online or over the phone it is always best to bring your artwork into our workshops. One of our sales team will be able to guide you through choosing frames, mounts and discuss glazing options.
A job-sheet is written and scanned into our in-house workflow system to ensure you receive what you have asked for.
All your artwork is stored in fire-proof lockable plan chests which is especially important when storing delicate pieces such as pastels and fabrics.

HAND MADE FRAMES
Each frame is custom built to fit each job using precision saws and the latest programmable underpinner, glass and MDF board cutters.
Prior to applying each finish, the frames are checked for flaws and sanded by hand to give you the best possible finish.
All our the mouldings we buy are from suppliers who hold certificates which promote sustainable forest management.

MOUNTING
Our range of Conservation and Museum mount boards are precision cut using the Gunnar AiOX computerised mount cutter.
We use pH Neutral tapes as standard and gummed archival tapes on artwork and each mount are cut with a back to provide extra protection.
We still use traditional methods to apply gold lines and wash lines to decorate your mounts.

FITTING & HANGING
We supply and fit hangings for each frame we create with the best types to suit your wall types.
Breathable backing tapes and felt bumpers are used to allow air to circulate behind your pictures to reduce the risk of moisture.
We also offer a Picture Hanging Service at your house or office at a fixed price per hour. For a call back please email your name and address to hanging@thepictureframers.co.uk
